Blaise is an ex Railway player, having joined at Under 18 level in 2004. He finished playing in 2014 due to injury but was already involved in coaching well before that, starting in Marian College approximately 13 years ago, while in 6th year. He went from that to working as a Leinster Branch Youth Development Officer and then as a youth coach in Railway.

Blaise has extensive experience and a proven track record of developing players from our underage section. In 2009, he started our first U17 boys’ team, where we had three provincial representatives, including an U20 International, as well as players continuing their rugby in Railway.

Blaise helped to establish our age-grade girls section where we have won various 7s and 15s titles, had numerous Leinster and Ireland age-grade representatives, many of whom have gone onto full senior international honours. Blaise is IRFU Stage 3 qualified coach, continues to coach our age-grade teams whilst doubling up as our W2s Head Coach and assisting with the W1s.
